...Well, the best thing to do would probably be to go take a few lessons at a boxing gym (assuming you just want to learn a workout routine and not really get into boxing/MT) and ask them all the questions you can think of. Hell, you might actually really get into it and enjoy the training. You could also try this guy's website:
http://www.rosstraining.com/
or
http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=rossenamait
(same guy)
He has some pretty cool home workout stuff as well. Personally I like to warm up by shadow boxing for a couple of rounds. Then do a round of just jabs but with movement. After that I open up to combos, but always with movement. In and out and lateral. Unless you're trying to learn something very specific I feel like it's sort of detrimental to just stand in front of the bag and throw punches one at a time. There are a number of people from GA in this forum I'm sure if you're interested someone can point you in the direction of a good gym. -

In boxing movies and anime, in regards to the speedbag I only see people do that rolling motion with their fists, is that to build tempo? Do people do anything else with it? I realize putting more power into it or using more RoM would slow it down too much, but I wonder if gradually very good guys slowly use more RoM as their speed develops?
