Unfortunately I seem to be posting another article of this series which I have long forgotten about.
Former NYPD cop and karate teacher fesses up to teen sex rap
A former NYPD cop and karate teacher faces at least 10 years in prison after admitting he took teenage girls across state lines so he could have sex with them, officials said.
After vehemently denying the charges for more than a year, Trent Young, 41, pleaded guilty late Thursday in White Plains Federal Court.
The married father of three was accused of using the oath of obedience from his New Jersey dojo to coerce two students - girls ages 14 and 15 - to come to his Middletown, Orange County, home for sex sessions in 2006 and 2007.
He was also charged with taking a third girl from Brooklyn to his house to have sex in 2003.
Locked up since his January 2008 arrest, Young faces a possible life term when he's sentenced in January. The nine-year veteran was suspended from the NYPD after his arrest and was fired following his guilty plea.

Looks like this article author did not note a Dec 2007 arrest, according to the first article posted in this thread.

Former NYPD cop, martial arts instructor still awaits sentencing on underage sex charge
WHITE PLAINS – Trent Young, the Town of Wallkill man, who pled guilty in federal court to transporting three different underage girls across state lines to have sex, awaits sentencing on the federal charges to which he pled guilty last July. He faces a maximum term of 30 years in prison when sentenced.
His sentencing has been delayed twice and it is unclear if it will come off in June as scheduled. His attorney, federal defender Amy Attias would only say that he is undergoing “psychological testing.”
Young, who was a New York City police officer and owned a karate school, which he operated at his home and at a West Milford, NJ martial arts studio, Iron Tiger Martial Arts, admitted in federal court that he transported three young girls, who were his students, across state lines for the purpose of having sex, and that after he drove from New York to New Jersey, he had sex with them.
As the girls’ karate instructor, Young exercised supervisory control over each of the three victims, the charge contends.

West Milford martial arts instructor gains sex-assault sentencing postponement
Thursday, September 23, 2010
BY HANNAN ADELY
A former New York City police officer and West Milford martial arts instructor who plead guilty to bringing teenage girls across state lines to have sex now faces sentencing April 29.
Trent Young’s defense attorney Amy Attias requested a six-month adjournment in September because Young was being treated for advanced-stage cancer, she wrote in a letter to U.S. District Judge Kenneth Karas.
Young, a police officer for nine years and a popular martial arts teacher, pleaded guilty in July 2009 to three counts of transporting a minor with the intent to engage in sexual activity. Two of the girls were his students and one was from Brooklyn, the neighborhood where he was raised.
He brought them to his West Milford studio and to a studio in his Middletown, N.Y., home. The girls were 14, 15 and 16 years old.
This week, Karas set Young's sentencing for 2 p.m. April 29 in the White Plains, N.Y., federal courthouse. He faces a minimum of 25 years and a maximum of 30 years plus two life sentences for the three counts combined.
The sentencing had been postponed several times already, even before health issues were raised. Attias had requested adjournments so Young could undergo psychological testing, which she said would create “a complete picture” of a man who was abused as a child.

Well, here's evidence that a dozen years ago there was a professor ("reader") of criminology at Brunel University--in the law department:

There are a few out there who do claim criminology degrees from Brunel University from a dozen or so years back:
