Leather Boxing Glove Care

I noticed that some parts of my boxing gloves are drying out. I can't help it, but I wipe my face with my gloves when its sweaty, so I'm guessing it's messing with the leather. Do you guys use anything to keep the leather in good condition? I'd like for these to last a while.

i dunno if anyone went in depth about this or if it's been said in another thread, but shaving cream can help condition the leather without adding weight unlike using an oil.

For years the army used an thing called 'dubbin' (or dubbing - not sure if the g is at the end or not) to protect the leather of the boots - it was similar to traditional boot polish that comes in the little flat tins, however it was more like petroleum jelly in texture than polish.
It protected the leather by saturating the surface layers which rendered the leather pretty much water-proof.

The only issue is not getting it all over your face if you use your gloves to wipe sweat off....

Dubbin is what I use on my gloves as well as my expensive leather jacket. It works good.
