    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Aikijutsu?

Did a search, and Im looking for opinions on Aikijutsu. Is it crap like Aikido or is it actually a good legitimate style of martial arts. I heard that it indeed is good, and lacks the "hippie stuff" that Aikido has while having effective techniques.

What are some opinions on Aikijutsu?

Keep in mind, my opinion sucks.

Aikijutsu is somewhat akin to taijutsu (the ninjer art) which, when you do a search for that, you'll find that it sucks unless there's a good previous martial arts experience, in which some people can learn to make some of the stuff work for them and others can't.

Both come from around the same time period, supposedly, Aikijutsu being the samurai art, right? And Taijutsu being the ninja one?

I could have my knowledge very wrong and messed up.

That wouldn't be a first, nor unexpected. I'm just tired but awake for some godawful reason.

AikiJuJutsu is just adding the floating aspects of Aikido to JuJutsu. Which personally I don't think JuJutsu needs at all. JuJutsu works just fine without adding the artsy aspects of Aikido. Just my Opinion.

Aikijitsu is SO much better than that garbage Aikido.
    Seriously.
Stay away from aikido and aikido dojo's, what you want is Aikijitsu or anything else really.

Could you give me a more detailed reason why? Just so I can understand why Aikijutsu is a good, effective system.

Aikijutsu is not a martial art. Aikijutsu is a group of principles, theories or techniques utilized in several martial disciplines.
