California Attorney Shot 6+ Times w/Video
VAN NUYS, Calif. (AP) – An attorney was shot outside a California courthouse Friday and it was all captured on video.
Police say he was shot in the face by a client.
TV cameras caught the assailant firing as the victim tried to take refuge behind a tree. The video then shows the suspect walking calmly down the street before being tackled and arrested. The victim was conscious as he arrived at a hospital. He's identified as 53-year-old Jerry Curry.
The shooting coincidentally happened outside the Van Nuys courthouse while a hearing for actor Robert Blake, who is accused of murdering his wife, was underway inside.

Did he get shot? That's my question...because the victim didn't look hit and the guy just looked like he was trying to threaten him, nothing more.

CNN showed a clip with audio, and said he got shot multiple time in the upper body. he collapsed soon after but is alive
goes to show that a handgun's stopping power is never 100%. I wonder if he was using something small like a .22. if the other guy had a knife and was agressive the gunman would be sliced up by the time it is all over

The audio would have been better. Without any sound you couldn't tell when he shot.

This happens every once in a while. This is why "Junior" stays close at hand in my office.
The victim in that clip was still standing after being shot in the head, and who knows where else. The victim had enough energy to run and hide behind a tree. I would of had enough energy to close the gap and take that ************ down with me.
These people are stupid assholes. I don't get why they decide to shoot their own lawyers. They are sociopaths, they try to kill the people who are there to help them.

He might have been walking out of shock, not because he had energy.

So very true. He was scared as hell, as soon as that guy walked away and put the gun away i would have jumped him.
