I'm pretty sure the Huntington School closed down, it used to be by a Boxing gym and a pizza parlor on New York Ave.

from what i heard, and this was a while ago when i still lived on LI, Tai-Zen didnt do anything that involved contact, and, judging by the content of the website, well, i would probably stay away.

Found this. Has more info. Spoke to a student there. He kept saying it's all technique, no cardio. Just learn real stuff to help you ward off anyone. Sounded like secret stuff but Imnot sure. Think its self defense in street.

The first website, if that is really their view on things, is rather telling. They speak the general the street isn't real, don't compete because defense can't be practiced, etc, but they make a good point to say that their class isn't the best for competition or cardio.

They're up front about the fact that they're nothing special. Nothing really wrong with it, as far as I can tell.

I was a student in of Sensei Tague amd Sensei Miraglia in Selden, Long Island. Both were the best teachers, any subject, I've ever had.

wow.. Jiu jitsu does not mean general art.

Ju (jiu) means passive, gentle

jutsu (jitsu) means technique, form, style, etc.

My bullshit meter went off the scale. If you don't know what the words mean and have them mis-translated, how can you be worth anything?

As for Tai Zen I hvae heard of them but nothing good or bad, just know that they exist.
