As a starting point, founder's kamae:

I love the painfully slow evolution of Aikidoka, over the course of several generations, incrementally moving their hands closer and closer to their head. At this rate by the year 2121 Aikido practioners will have their face almost as well-protected as WTF Tae Kwon Do masters.

To take it a step further, could you show the stances of the unarmed (or armed if relevant) martial arts Ueshiba studied before developing aikido?

I can do more than that. I can put video of some of the styles he formally practised (Sumo and Judo are very known, so i'll focus in the other styles if available).

Let's see. (i'll put links because my shitty computer crashes with embedded videos).

    Yagyu Shingan-ryu:

    Daito-ryu Aikijujutsu:

    Kashima Shinto-ryu:

Otoh, he studied military bayonet fencing while serving in Russo-Japanese War and it seems to have some kind certification in Shinkage-ryu from Takeda Sokaku, but i don't know which branch of Shinkage Takeda was teaching. Takeda was more into Onno Ha Itto Ryu.
