A bodybuilder is just that: someone who builds their body. The goal of a bodybuilder is aestetics, to have the best built body. They compete in competitions where the goal is to determine who has the best physique, somewhat along the lines of a beauty pagent.
A strongman competes in strongman events, ranging from farmers walks, axel clean and presses, deadlifts for reps, and other such stuff. Their training is for the purpose of athletics, not aestetics. If they look fat but can win the competition, good for them. Glenn Ross and Zyndrunas are good examples of that.
Then you have powerlifting, which competes in the lifts of squat, bench press and deadlift. Whoever lifts the most wins.
The olympic lifting, which competes in the olympic lifts of Snatch and Clean and Jerk. Again, whoever lifts the most wins."Emevas,
