Why is TKD in the Olympics and not MMA?

I just dont get it. Why decide Tae Kwon Do is worthy of the olympics? Correct me if I'm wrong but is there a BJJ officially in the Olympic Games? It makes no sense. Is MMA not in the olympics because its "brutal" etc? I rather see kickboxing in the olympics (assuming its not, for all I know it is), then tae kwon do.

I know mma will get their someday, but why do they have to wait, are they waiting for someone to die. If people want MMA in the olympics it should be there, It shouldnt be up to some small group of people, or commitee. is kickboxing in the olympics?

TKD spent a TON of time and money to get into the Olympics.... lets see MMA put that together.... plus TKD is a sport.

TKD is the most popular martial art in the world. MMA, Sanshou, and a few other notables really should be in the olympics, but you really do need a worldwide base
