Edit: Getting started, will probably be several edits before I'm done.
I. The injury (fill in specifics here). The bizarre thing is that there isn't a single instance that I can recall that would have caused the injury. I think maybe a waki-gatame ...someone just walked in the office will get back to this later.

I've got two essentially fucked shoulders now (yay) one of which I need to get into physical therapy myself, but I don't have the time.
So please do. Share your exercises too.
I don't suppose DB snatches are good for the shoulder are they? I'm only doing 3x8 with 50 lbs.

I don't know if they are bad, but I know I jacked my shoulder doing one-hand OH squats. Plus I've read (can't remember where) that one-hand DB version of olympic lifts are techincally easier to do, but put more stress on the shoulder.
Don't know if that's true, but I wouldn't be doing snatches or any form of overhead presses if I were you. Use a resistance band instead of a DB for the time being.

my 2 cents: see a doctor and follow their advice.
Shoulder injuries can get nasty and, if not treated carefully, even if it starts out as a small injury, can end your martial arts training.
I had shoulder surgery 2 months ago for a torn labrum. Part of my labrum was removed, my bursa was cut down, and some bone was shaved.
In terms of best exercise for (rehabing or avoiding) shoulder problems are internal and external rotations (described here http://biomed.brown.edu/Courses/BI10...oup01/ptRE.htm) and scaption (a straight arm raise angled 45 degrees from the front of your body (between straight in front of you and straight out to your side).
