listen Susan..... I stopped cheering years ago after a bad groin pull from a human pyramid, and would appreciate you NOT bringing it up. Point is... grow a thicker skin and be able to poke fun at the **** hole training center that is the ATA..... your old home. Me agreeing with OMEGA has nothing to do with nut ridding... ATA and most of TKD these days is little more than a McDonald's attempting to sell "fat free burgers". If you can find a great school? GOOD FOR YOU.... ATA however, as reported on thousands of times.... is not one of them.

Thanks for that Mav. So many people forget how much a style can change depending on where its taught.

I will say that based on what I see online and by visiting several dojangs, a bunch of schools, maybe even the majority in the US, don't offer anything worthwhile even in the sporting aspect of taekwondo. It's certainly not a "fighting art" judging by the way it's marketed and instructed in many schools. That, however, doesn't mean it can't be a good fighting art, it all depends on who your instructor is and how you train. Anyway I'm pretty sure there's at least one thread somewhere discussing this issue at considerable length...
Don't let Mav hear you say that... you will hurt his right feeling.... There are some schools out there that teach in a more alive and combat manner I suppose.... but the VAST majority teach a sport ruleset where the hands are left to dangle as you boncy bounce on the mats wearing the maxi pads of justice!

You mock me for at one point in my life training in TKD. I was 12 years old. Then you go on to state that you yourself have what you call 'rank in TKD'. Irony, my friend, is not something your mother does to your wrinkled clothes.
Wait wait wait, all I said was ATA sucked monkey balls. You're the one whot took it personally.

You then go off to spout about having more right than me to be on this thread considering the skill you learned from your TKD experance. I never argued anyones 'right' to be on this thread, only my displeasure at somone trolling the thread with one liners that offer zero content to a thread that was up to said point, pleasant to read. As far as the 'skill' you learned from your experience this is more irony on your part. Didnt you call it patty cake? Is that what you learned? Please.
And what have you learned from this?

    I
didnt attack you to defend ATA. I attacked you for a lame one line troll coment on a decent thread. If you found me at some point 'vouching' for ATA please qoute me on it. I have vouched for some skills from TKD in particular but never had anyhting to say about ATA, or ITC for that matter, as a whole.
First here you go: "I had alot of fun in my Taekwondo days. Trained in ATA for 4 years before my instructor moved to another town. The point sparring actualy did help me transition to full contact karate sparring years later." Then go on to say "Every now and then Ill get my opponent with a nice hook kick to the head, and everytime to this day in class they are like. 'damn what the hell was that?' . I just laugh, gratefull for all the things I managed to take from my years as a TKD student."

This is all referring to your training at the ATA.

Second, I was just letting you know how we regard ATA around here if you didn't know.

I agree that there is BS in the ATA, as do people who actualy practice TKD. However one line zingers do nothing but a diservace to not only this thread, but to anyone who may want to hear your opinion on WHY ATA sucks and not your troll bait.
If that was troll bait then you would be a troll. Are you a troll. I'm questioning your morale character now because you don't seem impress me with any great morales which is probably something else you got with the ATA.

Try to shed light on the subject, not cast a shadow.

Also, the fact that you get 'internet tough guy' on me, calling me 'kid' says alot in itself.
First of all I call you a kid because you probably are in referance to me. Second if you don't want me to be an 'internet tough guy' we can always meet in person. I have a cage if you want it. I'll take you out for steak afterwards.
