South Bedfordshire (England) an MA desert?
I need to update my members info here.
It currently says Shotokan Karate.
WELL, it shouldn't as I have had to leave the Dojo I was at.
Not for any sad or serious reason - no dodgy BS MA ideas getting tossed around in there...
There wasn't a whole bunch of us crammed into each class - We had pretty much 1 on 1 tution for all the classes I atteneded....
No, it was just the added cost of travelling expenses - with a mortguage and a job that isn't massive on the payscale, the added travel costs became an issue that I couldn't really justify...
Hobby Vs not getting bank charges and struggling even more to pay said mortguage
Which leads me onto my next question...
Anyone know of a decent MA school in the South of Bedfordshire England wherby I can get to without it meaning an extra hour and a half of travel and petrol?
Been looking out on the Net, but it seens that there's a bit of an MA drout in there parts.
There's a KF class as mentioned in the local Chinese Take Away (the words stereo and type spring to mind) - which mentions the 'd3adl3y' word Shaolin .... that just sets of my Bullshido detector off right away.
Maybe I'm being to serious about it, but I would like to find something that was closer and NOT a McDojo that wouldn't teach quickly and badly...
I would be happier with somewhere that expected a bit of effort on the student's part.
If anyone has any ideas on this score - feel free to add pointers and info.

I train here.
seanyseanybean - why thank you kind sir!
Hopefully, it won't be a place that's miles away (my previous one was Brickhill in Bedford - WAYYYyyyy to far IMHO).
Even more interesting, one of my friends still trains at the place I mentioned previously...
I am looking forward to contrasting and comparing styles/techniques
A bit like an MA based experiment I guess.
Think I may have to check this place out - again cheers for that.
While I was looking at the results for the Judo British Masters Championships, I remember noticing quite a lot of the medal winners had (NHC) next to their names. You might want to check out the judo in your area ;)
