how do make stone locks (image heavy)
One of my friends is really into stone locks (because kettlebells are too... Not traditional..or something) so...
rather than paying an assload of scratch for these:
I decide to crank out various ghetto fabulous models in roughly 95, 65, 35 and 25 pounds.
what follows is a photo essay of the construction with help from emetshamash and looshkin our cat.
first for the 95 pounder get a cinder block and make a rebar superstructure:
cross brace the rebar:
do the dirty:
let set and wrapp handles with tape:
for the 65 pounders we used somewhat different handles that took some doing to bend:
and we added a wooden form to the top:
and displaced some cemment with air using a standard sized item....
they come out like this:
seek guidence from your god often:
the little ones came out like this:
and I made a yippie popsickle with the left overs
anybody else tried their hands at this?

Is that beard part of the cover as well? I mean we only see a little bit of the . . . beard corona if you will, but it looked like a powerfully texan chin cover.
This reminds of when I used to work out in my dad's barn by throwing random heavy **** on his block and tackle.

ah, but do you find life to be a funny funny riddle/have cakes on the griddle?
Seriously, the only thing I see in the commercial product that makes it worth paying for is maybe a more forgiving handle.

seriously I'm not a TCMA grappler so I've not actually been doing the traditional excercises with them... so I dont know how much my handles would forgive me for **** like this:
but getting it production down so I could crank out a complete set of the weekend with a school logo on each or something similiar would be nice.
I'm also trying to find some techinique specific excercises for these for jits.
