    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Your Martial Arts, as perceived in the modern world

    this is a boredom thing.
    its how to find out how your martial art is portrayed.

    firstly put the name of your fighting style in google images www.google.com
    post the first image that crops up.

    find famous people in your style from wikipedia or somewhere unbiased.

    then check these computer games, the most famous fighting games for a character with your style; street fighter, mortal kombat, dead or alive or any others you fancy.

    and post movies based around your style.

    here's mine for KARATE!

    google

    famous people;

    Dolph Lundgren

    fumio demura

    jean claude van damme

    Computer Games;

    johnny cage; mortal kombat. generally unliked dick.

    ryu; street fighter (loosely as ryu's fighting style actually defines ansatsuken, an unspecified form of assasination). generic tortured wanderer. can't look after his gi properly.

    hitomi; dead or alive 3- generic pansy teenager.

    Movies;

    the karate kid and sequels-

    as you can see this really advertises your style well and illustrates the hardcore culture which you join when you start training.:tongue5:

    EDIT' i'm not dissing anyone or anything BTW this is honest to god the proper results i get.
    all pics are either the main pics from wiki or in the first 5 from google.

    its just funny looking at the 'theme' :D

    and someone please do ninjutsu. if you just look at the first pic form a google search it looks awesome.

    Dolph Lundgren is badass, he is a Kyokushin fighter. Maybe you should have stuck to your specific style of Karate? Also Ryu from SFII is a Kyokushin guy in a roundabout way, he was based on one of Mas Oyama's students.

    I don't think this thread is gonna go down well btw.

    I think the premise of the thread is good. However, the pictures of famous people aren't worth a damn.

    The Dan Insanto picture reminds me of an Asian Bryan Peppers.

    Too many steps to make this thread interesting. The first one is a good idea though, especially as my style generated this clockface of homos:
