Both give you energy and speed up your metabolism. But they can also speed up your heart rate, increase your blood pressure and disrupt your sleeping patterns (if you take them late in the afternoon :eusa_doh:) If you already suffer from high blood pressure or heart complications, this stuff ain't for you.

My recommendation, based on personal experience is to take half the dossage. I've never up to this day been able to take a full dossage (which would be 2 caps early in the morning and 2 more before 3PM.) I've either used 2 in the morning, or 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.

If you use these products with caution, if you don't have pre-existing conditions, and if you have your diet and exercise right, they can help.

Oh, if you or anyone else decides to try these products, make sure these are the new, ephedra free versions. Stay away from anything that contains ephedra. Seriously.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

    Ta mate.. Info much appreciated.

I don't have any issues with my heart or related problems, I do however have a slow metabolism, weight loss has always been difficult (but not impossible) for me so something which will assist in conjunction with regular phys and a healthy diet will be useful given the time scales I have to reach a reasonable level of fitness.

Amen. I did the ECA stack when I was younger and stupid-er.
Nosebleeds lose their novelty value after a while.

    Hey Macho,
You ever taken Yerba Mate? I am given to understand it's an excellent appetite suppressor and will kick the matabolism's ass.
Plz note, I ask this because you have an encyclopedic knowledge of this stuff, not because I think it sounds Hispanic.
    Don't ban for racism, plz.

Mate? Like the tea? If that's what you're talking about, then that stuff works great! Good energy, not jittery, and no come down. The energy doesn't last as long as a cup of coffee, but it's good while it lasts.

    Yes. Like the tea.
I'm not sure I want "not jittery" :-)
    Thanks for the info.

Another vote for green tea here. I don't like the taste of tea either, so just take capsules. My only recommendation is to find green tea extract that is ONLY the tea the sort of capsule you can crack open and make tea from if you wished to.

600mg a day ought to help.

Also, stand up as much and as often as you can. Sitting is the weight-gainer. Putter around, watch TV and eat standing, etc.

Wow, that's interesting. I was always taught that it's best to sit down to eat. I think it had something to do with being able to fit more food in your stomach when you stand, thus taking longer for you to feel full.

Portion control is handy there. The idea, really, is just to stand more across the course of the day.
