I'm thankful for MA since it has given me a quiet confidence in myself and to not take anyone's crap. I'm more assertive and I think that is due to discipline of Judo.
Well, I don't have a Judo beatdown story, but it kept me sane during my job search, and relaxed during my interviews. I got 3 offers out of 20 interviews and I'm currently working a dream job which allows me to do Judo and Muay Thai....Judo ftw....
Also being in fantastic shape boosts my ego.... -

I'm thankful because I just freakin enjoy it. It's what I dreamed of doing as a kid and now I'm getting the opportunity to do it. I don't do it for a living and I don't try. But what I do have is a 'hobby' that not only pays for itself, it generates enough money for me to keep investing in it without it really costing me anything. Not many people can say that about what they love to do. I'm thankful that I get the opportunity to share this with my kids and watch them grow up in it. It's becoming one of our 'family traditions' and there's nothing quite like it.

I'm going to cheat and give thanks for two things... I also plan on starting almost every sentence with some form of "I"
I'm thankful to the martial arts because it probably saved me from being a criminal. It sounds cliche' but I was on that road a bit. MA's distracted me and gave me something better to do with my time.
I am also thankful for MA because it provides me with something to laugh at. Thank you mentally insane Sensei's and completely wack job students. Chi balls and death-touches wouldn't exist without you guys. -

I thank God every day for blessing me with my son. Today we were practicing Escrima, sparring with padded sticks. Apperently, he had dug a hole in the ground where we practice and filled it with leaves a week before. Today I stepped in the hole, tripped and fell. He yelled "Finally!", and hit me while I lay on the ground with a twisted ankle. I'm so proud I want to cry!
