    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Training in Philadelphia?

Gonna be up in the Philly/Bucks County area for Thanksgiving, and want to get some training in.

Any suggestions? BJJ preferred por favor.

Balance Studios is the best BJJ place in Philly, but I don't know what their policy on dropins/non-students is. Call ahead and ask about it, I would figure.

    What he said.
Buddy of mine now trains at one of their schools and has nothing but praise for the overall quality (he went there as a brown so they have to be solid).

I get Phil's newsletters all the time. Called them, I'm in for Friday and Saturday class 12 - 1, gi and no gi. 20 bucks per day. Not bad at all. :)

    Thanks Bro!

There is Maxercise in center city Philly

    BJJ United in Northeast

And Philly MMA in the south.

Maxercise and BJJ United are primarily BJJ schools only. Philly MMA has jiu jitsu, but has a much better Muay Thai program (and a great facility to support it) should you want to expand your horizons a little bit.

Im not saying dont go to Balance, but to say that they are the best school in the area so abruptly is very debatable.

I go to Balance, but I'm so swamped I probably won't be there Saturday.

I also just wanted to say that I've been to Maxercise and it is a good school. I've heard good things about BJJ United and Philly MMA but can't personally vouch for them.

I'm not putting any other school down, but of all the school i've trained at Balance had the best instruction. i mean there is a reason it is the most popular.

I've never been to BJJ united though.

    Just my opinion, nothing more.
