It looked like he had some size on you, but I still really expected it to end with the triangle. Any idea what went wrong there? Regardless, congratulations on the win.

I totally though you were a girl at first.

Good keeping the triangle for that long, did he have strong neck?

The armbar was right there when you had him flattened out on his side and underneath you in the triangle. Ask your instructor to show it to you. You can actually see him jerk his arm back when he realizes it. Also, pull the head down to finish if you have a weak triangle.

Good guard, good hip movement otherwise.

Woohoo! Score one for the Hippies v.s. Jocks. Aside from JNP's excellent advice, I think the reason you didn't tap him with the triangle was that you didn't get control of his inside arm. Great hip movement to avoid the pass to get him back in guard. Makes me jealous.

Control of inside arm, and adjust position. When you're on your back (for the traingle), grab your own shin, keep it tight, and adjust the position so you have a better choking angle. 'grats on the win, but there is no real reason as to why you couldn't have finished that triangle.
