wrong. appeal to authority is valid but it doesn't disqualify a judgment based on a preponderance of evidence .

Information is the key here. It really doesn't matter if one person or another claims to be to 15nth dan super soke possesor of the secret scrolls. Some people don't know what the hell that means. All that I read here is information that helps you understand what is real. If all you want is an informed choice, at least here you can filter through crap and understand what someone is saying. When someone tells you that their stuff is too dangerous for the streets, that tells you something now. It's not about judgeing as much as informing.

Not a lot of people have the extra cash to waste on crap martial arts and supplies. This site can save you a lot of money and help conserve precious time that you can spare for training. It can also give you the chance to observe arrogant pricks like JFS and Rudy Able and get some first or second hand examples of how not to become.

    Yeah, well, about this...

Would you honestly describe the display of striking in that video as at the level you should expect from 25 years of training?

Keep in mind, Rudy criticized MMA strikers for being "sloppy".

Anyone can throw a punch. Anyone 215lbs can throw a hard punch. After 25 years of training, you should be able to absolutely destroy people in the striking range, assuming you spent that time using productive and realisitc training methods.

Did that honestly look like the product of 25 years of realistic training?

At 215lbs with 25 years of training, Anthony should have been looking for his teeth in the crowd somewhere.

After watching that fight, I have to agree with Phrost here. If he really did trained in kung fu for 25 years, then he should be ashamed of himself. I didn't see anything resembling any style of kung fu, much less monkey kung fu.

In response to the OP: Since I am better than everyone, have me judge on my own rather than Bullshido as a community. Makes things a whole lot simpler :)
