Style: Wrestling, bjj, judo--
For a gi I'd reccommend Hatashita, good stuff and really cheap, cheaper than a lot of lower quality gi's(seriously several people at my gym got mad at me because they got their gis for almost twice as much and they're nowhere near as good), for other stuff I personally like Clinchgear, again its good stuff(I love my clinchgear boardshorts, they're far better than anything else I've ever worn) but part of thats because I prefer that specific type of board shorts, and that they gave me a bunch of free stuff when something got backordered. combatsports has a better variety.

Compression shorts? They don't bind, they stretch, they keep everything where it needs to be down there, they cut down of chafing, and you won't have to worry about flashing a little too much when rolling.

Cagewalk, Truth Fightwear, Nogi (kinda...although compared to most other brands, it's low-profile), SSFgear, Sprawl, and the old Clinchgears are shorts that don't have a bunch of embroidery and screen printing and graphics all over them...
For gear itself, Combatsports/Ringside, SSF, Truth Fightwear, KO Fightgear, HCK don't have patches and crap all over them either...
