The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris -

Style: BJJ--
The funny thing is we didnt even focus on knee strikes at all during training. I only had a few months (4-5) of stand up training before this, at about 4-6 classes a month. Thats not that much especially considering I wasn't sparring much at all. My stand up coach just went over the knees and plum a few nights before, hoping I could use my wrestling clinch to set up knees. But we still figured I was just gonna jab and go straight for a double.
I've been doing lots of sparring now and my stand up shows it. Its not great yet, but I was afraid to stand for this fight. Thats why I just threw quick jabs and closed the distance (hoping he would grab) and then clinch. -
