    Time to brag: New home gym

    After getting fed up with my gym's crap, I decided to construct the home gym I've always wanted.

    Here's a pic



    Powercage, olympic bench 560lbs of olympic weight, 2 bars, adjustable DB handles, neck harness, a 2 and 3 board set-up for board presses, and a mock deadlifting platform with the puzzle mats.

    Needless to say, I'm very happy.

    I'd rather have that than where I work out. I teach in a middle school and they've got a "fitness room." I like the elliptical machine, much better than running at SuperDuper Heavyweight. I do not like the bazillion shiny machines with the awkward range of motion seemingly designed for very small people with very short limbs. I can't even use the hamstring curl or the leg extension--it's just too awkward.

    You're a lucky man. I don't really have room for a home gym, and my garage is falling down, literally. I've thought about joining a "key club" gym in the town between work and here, but it seems like a shame to pay there. Enjoy yourself.

    bastard! I did this exact same exercise (figured out the gear costs vs. gym membership) when re-evaluating gym renewal/gym change.

    My wife convinced me I should just re-join.

    Now I'm stuck in guido-poor form-bicep building-land for the next year......

    they don't even have dumbells heavier than 90lbs... WTF.
