MT Fighters Success in San Shou?

I was just wondering who are some Muay Thai fighters that are successful in San Shou?

I know Cung Le is mostly a Muay Thai fighter that has excellent high kick and throwing skills. Matee Jedeepitak is an MT fighter who won an IKF San Shou title.

    Who else?

I thought Cung Le was mostly a San Shou fighter who happens to have insane wrestling skills?
I mean, spinning hook kicks, side kicks, flying scissors... these aren't really Muay Thai moves, are they?

Alot of the flying, high kicks are from his Vietnamese Kung Fu training, but he is mainly in Thai Boxing who also is an awesome wrestler.

    I'm pretty sure he's sanshou + wrestling.

Anyways, to answer your question, my trainer is a San Shou/Sanda fighter, and he competes and wins under MT rules, so I imagine you could do it the other way around.

Liu Hailong (a san da fighter) makes it his personnel business to hunt down and destroy MT fighters.

Yeah, especially through mis-matched fights with rules favoring him. I've never seen him KO an equivalent level Muay Thai guy. When Sanshou guys "destroy" Muay Thai guys, it's usually on points from throwing, with a healthy dose of Chinese nuthugging.

Too bad Liu will never fight Cung Le either.
