The hood mentality is crippling disease, that attacks your nervous system. It makes you nervous of the system. Gangsters and hood rats are especially susceptible to this growth stunting mentality. The hood is where I'm from, but it's not what I am. The hood is where I'm from, but it's not what I am. --Keith David--Ice Cube

^ I'm assuming the same thing Bullshido did with Ashida Kim: Try to be somewhat neutral until they prove beyond a doubt that they're a diploma mill. Contact them about getting sokeship in a completely idiotic martial art that any non-diploma mill would pick up on and refuse to grant a certificate to (Maori Fencing is my idea, because anyone who has even watched Spike TV recently can tell you that the Maori didn't use steel weapons). When they ask for payment, tell them they've been nailed and then link to the thread. Good idea or no?

That does but doesn't mean anything though.
I'm willing to bet it rarely gets used simply because most employers who catch employees with fake degrees are content with simply releasing them. If I caught someone with a fake degree, that's all I'd do. I wouldn't attempt to press charges. Come to think of it, the Dean of students at Harvard was recently fired because she lied on her resume about where her diploma was from. Harvard didn't attempt to press charges.
Also, police, at least in Philly, tend to ignore small infractions. In Philly, people rarely get in trouble for weed unless they have enough for possession with intent to distribute. Given the fact that in most places firefighters can be hired straight out of high school, making his degree pretty much unnecessary in the first place, the police probably didn't even bother pressing charges against him. However, it might have been different if he was teaching a class at a University with the same fake degree.
And, as I posted in the Creotology thread, I recently saw a news special in Nashville about people in jail for possession of diploma mill certificates.
