The Ultimate Fighter Hughes vs. Serra: Episode Five - Engineers Don't Like Punches

Team Hughes "gone on a slide"?

    What does that even mean?

    Random thoughts:
    Poor Paul. That sucks.
Mac is a dick, and his weird insect fixation is kind of creepy.
Rude Boy has a nice right hand.

Think it means, "Hughes can't stop getting beat by Serra." Hughes seemed somewhat decent this episode, but it looks like the ass in him comes back out next episode.

Slides take you from the top to the bottom perhaps? I have to say Serra impressed me even more tonight by the way he came and talked to Hughes' fighter afterwards. He just needs to stop calling me Billy :)

Damn that suck for Paul. I know from personal experience that the death of a close family member puts your head in the wrong place before a football game. I can't imagine what state of mind you'd get into before a 1-1 match where you get to pound on someone.

Not to sound like a dick, but it seemed the death was of a family member he didn't really know that well. One he grew up with a long time ago maybe but was out of contact with. He just didn't seem shaken or affected and then was forced to seem that way by everyone's reaction.

Hughs seems like he is running a therapy session rather than a fight team. What is it with all the emo crap. Stop treating these guys like kids (oh please don’t pick on one of our team members -waaa) and start focusing on them as fighters.

Yes that sucks for Paul… even if he was not close to his cousin, that can still put you in the wrong frame of mind for a fight.

I continue to like Serra more and more as this season goes on. Some real class going up to Paul after the fight and giving him some props.

It hurt my chin just watching that knockout. Beautiful.
