I was more referring to him signing off on techniques he has never used immediately after claiming his tiger claw strikes were useful .

Not to mention how he failed to realize that the phoenix eye is a type of closed fist strike .

hey everyone, thanks for all the responses :)
I'm looking at a few MT places around Perth right now, for after February, but in the meantime I'm just trying to get the most out of the training I'm doing now. To make sure that I get at least something out of it. It's been good. But I need a change-my priorities have shifted. I got into it for the "philosophy" (yes,yes, I know) without realising that I could have got better from the analects and the tao te ching (Mencius kicks arse too). I've really gotten into the actual effectiveness of what I'm learning.
And to this "djchangster" character--I've only been doing martial arts for a year and a bit. Even so, I can still see clear as day that you, sir, are an idiot. Your posts diverge further from reality with every passing day. Normally I'm pretty level-headed, but you drew the short end of the stick with good reason (not that I have any authority to back any of this up). I wouldn't be able to beat you, but Mr Dugas certainly could. Therefore, SHUT UP.

Now, I know I posted this in Newbietown before but it wasn't really answered at all.
The system I train in uses only hammer fists, palm strikes and phoenik eye fists (index finger knuckle) strikes. Is this practical? Will I get killed trying to use them against a boxer, a good fighter, or a thug? Should I add other hand strikes (we also do elbows by the way). Thanks a million fellas.
