, ~190lbs, 5'10" and my goals are just to get stronger. In a few weeks I hope to start BJJ again, so my main goal is to get stronger for MA.

My sleeping is fine... I tend to get at least 7 hours of sleep a night, and about 2 more on the bus and in class.

Diet is ****. I am working on it, though...

What kind of rows can I do with a barbell so that I don't kill myself? I do DLs and squats for lower back, so I need something for the mid/upper back and lats.

Bent over rows or t-bar rows (if you have that little "v" attachment for a cable rack)

All I have is a squat rack with a barbell, a bench, and weights. So bent-over rows it is.

I need your age as well, sorry about that but there is a major difference between one whom is 30 and one that is forty.

Again, this is only to assist you.

get a length of 4"x4" (or bigger), stack the blocks under the feet of your bench. Use a couple more blocks to rest your bar on, under the bench, load up the bar. Lie face down on the bench, lift the bar clear of the blocks and do rows. Bench supports your trunk so you're placing very little strain on lower back and do a very strict row.

    Like this ...

But I doubt you have a cambered bar. A reg bar will do you just won't be able to pull as close to your chest
    .

Check this link as well, some useful variants using just a barbell

Vandenberg AFB, right on brother, hell at that age I would recommend NO2, whey pro and creatine as suppliment using the Book the GNC sells for a buck when you buy NO2.

However, watch the blood pressure, seriously. Whats your opion on that Em ?

BTW: Thank You for serving, AIM HIGH. What a LOGO !

I never suggest NO personally. I've heard too many negatives and not enough positives. Usually, I suggest improved nutrition and sleeping/stress management before an energy supplement. However, some people swear by it, and it's ultimately up to the consumer.

I'm all for whey and creatine.

    Thanks for the support.

Sorry, I thought I posted my age, but something must have messed up. There's a comma there, my age was supposed to be before that. I'm 21.

And I can't do rows with a bench. Mine is an adjustable one, like so:

And yes, she came with the bench.

I guess maybe if I lie down with my face on the butt part, it could work. But I already did them just now standing up, and I probably did them wrong, since I felt my biceps working more than my back, which is why I couldn't go very high. Also my legs felt it a lot, but I guess that's just a "feature" of it.

I have whey protein and some protein bars (LOL they are actually shitty protein cookies) that I eat if I feel I need to. I think I need to improve my nutrition in general before going TO THE EXTREME.

And besides that, I'm in no position to need any other supplement assistance. I just need to stay consistent, which is my biggest weakness. Whenever I get in a good groove, I'll either get sick (like right before school started...), or have a shitload of homework to do that doesn't let me do much else, or an exam that I need to study for.
