I think a guy like Machida would be just as happy without the audience there. I think i'm gonna be in that same camp. I like the expression of fighting and choosing your stratagy, i wouldn't care for second guessing what the crowd wanted.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

BJJ might make you a better ground fighter, but Judo will make you a better dancer.

I thought those matches were ruled a "No Contest" due to the Thai fighters uses of knees and elbows when those moves were prohibited in the rules. I could be wrong, anyone with more knowledge feel free to correct/flame me.

Pretty much, yes. It diffrers from regular Wing Chun in that there is no chi sau, no goofy stances, and we replace chain punching with axe swinging. Also, we dress like Motorhead, instead of in silk PJs.

Actually it stems from when we had "Wing Chun Sucks" month and everyone was changing their styles to various spellings of -ing -Un. I decided on Viking Chun, because I had recently watched 13th Warrior and Vikings are awesome.

Didn't American rules start out as "Full Contact Karate"? Basically, a karate match with boxing gloves/booties, a ring, and a bajillion rounds?
