What should I do with my old Kenpo gi?

It was likely his lightsabre they were refering to. Did it glow orange? Mine did, but the batteries died... It was old school- not one of these new fangled gagets they have now.

You could rejoin kenpo- but finding a real good school is hard- there is a huge varience in quality of programs. In most cases it will give you solid fundamentals and in some they do train to fight in real stances you can fight from. The new one near me sucks badly. They made an old green belt a black belt about over night after my old school closed- none one else of us ?sane ones joined it. Now that Randy has left MMA for good now, the king is gone from that one.

Maybe you can find a place that does custom patches and just get them to do one that says
"lolkempo" and sew it on.

Suggestion: Learn to sew by making a Jedi costume yourself through trial and error and constant upkeep of it to continually improve your skillz. Then cut sections from cloth and add the letters yourself.
