What kind of competition are you training for? You can do bag drills, running, sprints, bodyweight exercises, etc. but in order to get the most from training you should tailor it to the competition (round length, rule set, etc.)

    Also, search function noob! LuLZ

I'm trying to prepare for a Full Contact Kickboxing tournament.

My first time on the tournament circuit. Any advice or tidbit I get would be extremely helpful.

Do you have kick counts? If so, I guess, try and get them out of the way early. You probably don't want to have to cram them in at the end of the round.

And, keep your damn hands up.

Good Luck, Standly, I prepare for competitions by doing a lot of cardio exercises to build my stamina. I do a lot of running apart from repeated punching, kicking and technique practice.

However, I also found a very interesting response to a similar question by Professor Gary Lee in Martialcafe.com
