    Good and interesting read, but it all just seems a bit unlikely. Not saying that Slomanski wasn't the international karate champ, but I find the part about defeating 120+ people in two days unlikely.

    That said, I'm a former practitioner of Chito-Ryu. From what I could see, Slomanski wasn't that influential in Chito-ryu in general. Chitose founded the style and it was brought to America by William Dometrich (who has sadly passed in the last year). The American Chito-Ryu federation website does talk about Slomanski a little on its website, but I don't think Slomanski actively did much to influence the spread of Karate or Chito-ryu in the US.
