give him some slack... i think he was a late replacement for lebanner.
and no way that he is even close to lebanner's league. it was a mis match, he tried (poorly) and lost. still he stepped up against JLB. lots of balls.

What is the name of the TKD champ who is black with the long dreads? I've seen a few really impressive fight videos of him, but I can't remember his name to look them up again. I also have to agree with Alex in regards to training kickboxing. Although since I've started training MT, I'm still glad I've studied TKD....if anything just for the long range and power kicks
Edit: His name is Paul Doumbia, Swedish ITF champ, incorporates a lot of throws

Yong Soo Park kind of sucks.
If you're looking for TKD people doing Kickboxing look for Serkan Yilmaz.

He hasn't fought in a while. 3-5 was his recond then he lost a MMA match to Uno and went to a smaller KB promotion in 05. Don't know if he fights anymore.
I like him alot but he didn't score well with judges. Unless he got the KO he usually lost. But again, he did fight some tough guys.

There's a few other people:
Reiji Ozaki (MT/TKD)- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0ETJ71sPuw
Lurkasz Jurkowski (Instructor in Poland)- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x__kKOyb2Ow
The video said Jurkowski is a 1st dan in ITF Tae Kwon Do, but it looks as if he may have some grappling experience of some sort (Maybe a little Yudo, Hapkido, and/or Yusul thrown in somewhere...).
I think a good TKD practitoner can do well with striking, but we all know ground work needs to be done. The judo throws shared in the styles I do are still getting to me (Not that I'm afraid, but I still have that intial shock for a few seconds, and I know that might cost me).
