The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris -

See, this is why I was wholly against giving Rudy any modicum of respect from the getgo. He is not "a nice guy in real life" and he does not "have guts just for stepping in the ring". My sig isn't something I said; it's a quote from Anthony about a year ago, before Anthony gained his newfound respect for Abel. He's been a loudmouth rabble rouser from day 1 and it was naive of us (myself included) to assume losing to a ten month MMA student would change anything.
That said, and I hope I'm not doing some revisionist history myself, this victory does put to rest any myth of Rudy's fighting ability. From now of Rudy can continue talking as he has been, but his words are now exceptionally hollow. Any question that Rudy's capacity to brawl supercedes even basic MMA training has been permanently layed to rest. He's a one-dimensional slugger incapable of even rudimentary takedown defense, a coward who tapped from panic and fear instead of safety. he has zero heart and, if you'll excuse the melodramatic term, lacks fighting spirit. We now know any decent BJJer with a reasonable chin can manhandle Rudy at will.
And that's all that really matters. Rudy will continue to talk about how "sloppy" MMA striking is. It won't matter. Rudy can accuse people of being weak and unmotivated. It won't matter. Rudy can talk about how cursory grappling does not automatically trump advanced striking. It won't matter. Nothing he says or does from this point on matters, because I know, as a scientific fact, that I can stick my finger up Rudy's asshole. At will.
And that's the power of grappling, my friends. Say what you will about tying people into knots, the shark/ocean/ground metaphor, compare kung fu masters to dead fish gasping for air. They're all fair analogies. But to me, the true power of training in real martial arts is knowing every time I look at a **** talker like Rudy that if I met him in person, he can resist me all he wants: I will impose my will on him and put my finger in his pooper. I will lean over his shoulder and whisper lewd things into his ear. I will rub my throbbing erection again his sweatpants. I will let him down. I will make him hurt and squirm like Johnny Cash watching Requiem for a Dream. And he will have no recourse because his only defense is words, hollow, transient words.Captain's Log: Just a little update for all my TRUE and HONEST friends out there:
1) I am STRAIGHT! I am STRAIGHT! Get it through your thick skulls, numbskulls!
2) My name is not Ian Brandon Something.
3) Kacey is coming with me now. I have stolen her from the other Christian Weston Chandler.
