I want to, but chances are my weight won't be where I want it yet. So I'm looking at NAGA in a month.

I was looking at the rules and couldn't find anything about this particular question, what are the dress requirements for these things? I like to roll w/ gi pants on, will that be ok or am I gonna be stuck in shorts?

Also, are full judo style takedowns allowed?

    yes and yes

BUT, Your opponent can use anything you wear against you. I'd personally punnish you for wearing Gi pants. It opens up several easy passes.

yeah, as far as I know the only rule is that your pants/shorts just have to be drawstring with no pockets...

if you want some good shorts though talk to Andy about a pair of his Intynse shorts. I like them a lot (got 2 pairs), and everyone at the gym gets them for a substantial discount.

Yeah. I'm used to people trying them, so I'm still more comfortable with the pants than without. I HATE grappling in shorts. Just HATE HATE HATE it. Also, if it baits people into trying to pass using my pants because they think it will be easier then that's fine. At least I won't get caught by surprise.
