I'm looking rather fervently for a Muay Thai gym that'll show me the ropes, I'm feeling really confident in my ability to stick with the program and am honestly just ready to get my ass beat day in and day out.
Anyway I've been checking out gyms and found one that might actually suit my needs, here's the link: http://www.shortnorthmuaythai.com/
I live in Columbus, Ohio if that helps at all.

I don't see a fight team or any active fighters.
If your Muay Thai gym doesn't have active amateur and or Pro fighters it is not a real Muay Thai gym IMO.

Yeah that's a good point, I'm going to assume you know much more about this then I do. However, should I avoid this gym completely due to this? Or is there any merit is joining something like that?

SNMT is a traditional school that teaches Muay Thai in a way that goes beyond the normal “eight weapons” that include legs, knees, punches, and elbows.
Really, it all depends. Do you want to become a Muay Thai Fighter, or do you just want to learn Muay Thai as a hobby?
If it's the former, stay the **** away. If it's the latter, go check out a class.

Ok great, thanks for the advice man. Going to take it to heart and stay away, the search continues I guess. :/

based on the website I'd say this place looks really, really sketchy. Check it out though and let us know what you find. I can't find anything online about a Hope Vitellas with any sort of fight record other than her own site. That is something of concern to me.

"SNMT is a traditional school that teaches Muay Thai in a way that goes beyond the normal “eight weapons” that include legs, knees, punches, and elbows. Our school teaches and refines those eight weapons, but enhances them by focusing on the ninth weapon -- the mind."
go check it out. if it's not for you skip out and find a different place.

You have to interview?
Is it a question answer type thing and do you have to dress up?
I've heard of schools asking for an application, but a face to face interview?
