    Pretty cool article. Some BS in there like about Bodhidharma teaching Kenpo (or any form of martial art for that matter), and some silly sounding stuff - Sijo desecrated corpses as a janitor to practice joint locks and breaks?? Gotta ask Prof. Bishop about that one.

    But interesting article nonetheless :)

    I found a few inaccuracies in the article. Such is the way legends are started.
    I definitely don't know everything about Sijo Emperado's life, but I've talked to him many, many times about Kajukenbo history. And interviewed him for magazines, and books. I've interviewed him very extensively about his life from birth to present day.
    I never heard the mortuary story, or of him ever working as a janitor. And I'm sure that if he had been mutilating corpses in a mortuary, he wouldn't have gotten the law enforcement jobs he worked for 15 years.
