I saw that too. I was wondering why they were panning the crowd when a fight was going on.

Damn those Silverbacks. I had my hopes set high when they came back 2-2.

I dont want to see the fighters seriously injured. Most people I know who actually train in a MA dont either. Like you said, its the armchair fighter that likes to see that ****, so they can say to the boys at the office

"Wow, you guys shoulda come over and watched the fights, one guy got his neck broke!! MMA, thats the real deal!"

Didn't Goldberg make it a point in UFC 76 to reference how intelligent the fans were now. How educated, knowledgeable, learned and even sage-like the audience is?

If that statement was in direct relation to his own knowledge of the sport, it would be accurate.

I'm guessing its a friend of a friend type thing, until it comes down to "hey, wanna go watch some crazy fight club **** with sticks in some warehouse?" Also, keep in mind I'm talking about a minority of attendants.

What happened at the DB gathering? It seems like any troublemakers would be, um, dealt with.

Then I could see someone booing and justifying it. Booing at an intense ground fight or a good exchange of blows is just retarded. WHAT DO YOU WANT?!

A couple months ago I went to see a bodog fight in new jersey with a couple people from our gym. Sitting in front of us were 2 couples that were at least in their late 60s, not the kind of people i expected to see at this fight. Anyway, during the last bout between eddie alvarez and some other guy i don't remember, one of the women was complaining that they were doing "boring" groundfighting, so she screamed out "roundhouse him!"....

Nah, there was just a couple dumb things shouted by young men, nothing warranted any "dealing with".
