New York MMA Examiner Style: magic FUCKING powers!
Maybe I wasn't reading this thread closely enough, but who the hell was talking bad about the Jackson v Henderson fight? It was an amazing showcase of skill and an even match. Both men put out efforts that would make other mere mortals look silly. Even my friends who don't train would say as much.
In fact, the only person I know who said it wasn't great simply commented that he didn't understand how it could be a great fight if no one was knocked out. However, he will also admit that he is a douchebag with no appreciation for the technical aspect of the sport.

It was a decent fight, nothing spectacular happened besides Rampage being on top more than I thought. Hendo gassed.

So is pride dead for sure? Ive heard it is and it isnt. I heard its now gonna be Pride World Wide. And i Heard their just taking the fighters they want and shoving them in the ufc. Also if it is gonna stay are the rules gonna be the same or are they gonna make it UFC rules. Like no Knees in for point stance, and no ground knees, and no ground stomp? becuase that would suck!!!! let me know

Even the triangle choke he locked on against an all-but-dead Lutter didn't win, he had to use elbows.
The body triangle he does from the guard is pretty awesome, but I don't see what match has demonstrated his ground skills vs. Franklin's. He was pushed and moved into the corner even in the Lutter fight, Lutter just couldn't do anything more than hammer fist him. Lutter might be a superior wrestler to Franklin, but I was highly unimpressed watching the fight against Lutter about how Silva worked on the ground. Is someone seeing something I'm not besides the "has BJJ blackbelt" title? (Didn't Shogan have a blackbelt against Forrest Griffin? Who won the ground game there?)
I don't think Griffin will win, but I don't think he's going to win on his feet. I could be wrong, maybe things at Chute Boxing are rough with both Wanderlei and Shogun down.
Nate Marquadt has superior ground skills to rich franklin, and was neutralized and reversed.
