    You can't really OD on Vit. C. It is water soluble. The vits. A & E are fat soluble, so you can OD on them. I think you can still take too much C. I used to take about 8 gms. a day, and I had no problems. I knew a gal who used to take 16 gms. a day though, and she said her hair started falling out. Now-a-days, I take 1000mg of C a day. I think that's enough.

    The problem we have is that our food is not the perfect fuel for our bodies. We just can't get everything we need through food we eat for optimal nutrition. You can certainly get enough to get by though. Supplements should be taken with a reason behind them, not just willy nilly.

    I started taking Mulit Vit and Zinc when i was getting run down a lot. That was 5 years ago and I've been ill once since.

    I'm with Macho on Glutamine. I notice a BIG difference in recovery if I forget to take it.

    For fat burning I take Sida Cordifolia and Green Tea Extract. In a couple of months my stomach has really started to disappear and I'm getting definition for the first time in my 28 years.

    Good stuff here. Thanks to all for showing what you do and explaining how it works.

    I just take multivitamins. Better than nothing, I guess, but I'll be looking into the other stuff posted here.

    When you take too much creatine, the body can't absorb it all and you poop it out. This is where the question of effervescent creatine and weather that is a satisfactory vehicle to help get it into the bloodstream.

    Oh I piss a lot due to the 1 1/2-2 gallons of water I drink a day (Water is key to recovery, if you are not drinking enough, dont bother with a suppliment of any kind, water first, suppliment second...the golden key to good recovery, how else do you get the lactic acid out???)

    But yea, when loading mono I just spent time sitting and thinking about life, after the load I was good.

    I think your body gets bathroom issues from creatine due to not drinking enough water. Creatine does not dissolve well in water. SO if you take creatine and a cup f water it will not likely dissolve in the stomach. This forces the stomach to pull in more water from the body and you have "issues" on the toilet.

    Solution: Drink more water at the time you take the creatine. Also I hope you guys are loading by doing it in 5 gram doses throughout the day, taking a 10-20gram dose at once would kill anyone!

    Not to start anything as arguing on a forum is like coming in first place at the special olyimpics, but I never claimed that lactic acid causes soreness, but a build up of lactic acid and other waste products in muscles due to lack of water/flushing can cause nutients not to be absorbed by the muscle which is much more serious than a little muscle soreness.

    Point is drink lots of water...

    I never took Creatine monohydrate with water, always with grape juice or a carb drink of some sort, not to say that I did not take in water during working out and the day, water intake has never been an issue. I know some guys swore by not loading, saying that it was a cash grab by the suppliment companies and that you really did not need it...

    I dunno opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one, do what works for your body.

    The trick for me in taking creatine is to break down the portions throughout the day as much as possible and plenty of fiber and water. Otherwise, I get the feeling I'm developing a whale fetus somewhere between the middle of my guts and my ass.
