Supplements can get expensive, so first, make sure you eat well. Then worry about supplements ;)
A good way to start is to make sure you take a good multi like Centrum DAILY... and all assuming you are eating well.Read this for flexibility and injury prevention, this, this and this for supplementation, this on grip conditioning, and this on staph. New: On strenght standards, relationships and structural balance. Shoulder problems? Read this.
My crapuous vlog and my blog of training, stuff and crap. NEW: Me, Mrs. Macho and our newborn baby.
New To Weight Training? Get the StrongLifts 5x5 program and Rippetoe's "Starting Strength, 2nd Ed". Wanna build muscle/gain weight? Check this article. My review on Tactical Nutrition here.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris -

Good link Uri, I would agree with what they are saying.
For me: Creatine is #1 if you are eating well, I prefer the ester over the Monohydrate as there is no loading, and I always had bathroom issues loading creatine for some reason...
I too am using NoExplode, but I think I am going to switch it up as it is not giving me what I want and to me the logic of putting a NO in with caffine is kind of purpose defeating (i do not get a pump, going to try Arginine on its own, supposedly works just as well)
BCAA's are always good and I take those as well as vit c and a multi to SUPPLIMENT my 5-6 meals a day.
Protien is always good IF you need it, figure out what your goals are and how much protien you need, if you cannot get it through food then pick up a meal replacement/protien shake depending on your needs. ie do you need carbs too or just protien
#1 rule EAT after your work out, with in 1/2 hr (up to 90mins, but I like the 1/2hr rule for me so I dont get lazy) you need CARBS & PROTIEN after you work out so dont take just a protien shake. -

It ain't cheap, I know :( My g/f and I are actually doing some number crunching to adjust our budget. When push come to shove (is that how the expression is?), we may just buy enough of that for 4 days a week, or 2.5 weeks (7 days a week.)
