Hey guys. I never post, but I will today. I have been training for 2 years, finally got staph. looked like an ingrown hair on my knee and within 2 days it ballooned I could barely walk . go to the ER, have it cut open and drained, get anti biotics. no insurance. can't move off the bed for 3 days, haven't work in 5 days, and won't walk near normal for another week. Can't train for 2 more weeks ,I guess. Oh, yeah, don't forget the constant pain.
just a reminder to be on the lookout, cause most of you like me can't afford the time /money for this to happen. staph sucks!!

I keep a liquid antibiotic on hand, it is called Clindamycin.
When I ever I get what looks like a pimple or an ingrown hair I lather on the Clindamycin frequently throughout the day until the redness is gone.
So far so good.
I used to use Clindamycin on my face when my acne acted up. Still do if I get an odd pimple here or there, but never thought of using it on any other part of my body.
You mean to say that you've never considered masturbating with Clindemycin? You, my friend, have not yet lived.

I think since it's topical it's hard to over-use it to the point where it's ineffective. Terrible for your skin though. Plus probably like 1/30587th of skin infections are caused by anything that might ever end up being antibiotic resistant.
But that's a good point, overusing antibiotics is probably really hard on the body.
Good to hear you went to the doc and got it cut open. Expect not to train for a while, really:(It took more than three months for mine to fully heal)
