I honestly thought I was the only one that was going to pick him.

The UFC should still be able to go ahead with Liddell-Silva, but who gets the next shot at Rampage?

    Forrest vs Jardine 2

    OR

    Jardine vs Wanderlei

I would perfer the ladder of the two.

PS I didnt pick either, but I was rooting for Forrest.

I concur, they kept lauding the kicks that were landing on chucks legs/body, but seemed to miss the punches that were constantly landing on jardines bricklike head.

I agree. Chuck needs to pack it in. He had a good run, but he needs to quit while the quittin's good.

Add the 205 weightclass to the list of fucked up weightclasses.

Although I picked Liddell, I had this feeling that, despite what Rogan says, Jardine was NOT tailor made for Liddell. Liddell works best against fighters who are primarily grapplers. People who like to stand and trade could be a problem for him, and this turned out to be the case with Jardine.

I still couldnt believe that Forrest tapped Rua or that Rua gassed so badly.

How the fucking **** did that one judge give Liddell that fight? Retard. That's two fights that were split decisions which should have been uni tonight.

Oh and the best part of the night was Mayhem mugging for the camera, showing off his Mayhem bling everytime they showed Wanderlei Silva onscreen.

I am speechless. I picked Fitch and Tyson Griffin right. Pretty much everything else went out the window. Forrest Griffin by RNC!? Are you shitting me!?

Anyway, my inflammatory comments. As a reformed Pride nuthugger, I now realize how much of a role steroids must have truly played in Japanese-run venues, where such things were acceptable with no quarrel. Watching Shogun gas on his feet like that against a walking piece of leather like Forrest shocked me. But this is not to take anything away from Forrest. This is the best Forrest I've ever seen. His striking was so much cleaner, and his defensive guard game was very effective. I've always seen him as that sloppy striking Irish guy with a face like a brick, but he's obviously now much more than that.

This also serves as a testament to the god-like status of Randy. The man fucking gets two fighters on the main card who have "trains with Randy Couture" listed as a skill! His ability to devise gameplans and focus training to execute them not only for himself, but for fighters in his stable is astounding.

As for Chuck vs Jardine.....bah. Since the party has a few ex-Kempo guys where I watch fights, the constant jokes about "keeping your hands up!" and not seeming to know how to throw a straight punch, kept coming up from the peanut gallery directed at Chuck. Chuck had that fight if he would have adjusted his game to defend that overhand right (irony?), check that leg kick, and simply double jab Jardine in the face right down the middle to set up his looping hook to the jaw. Methinks if he wants to keep fighting, he should go train with Randy. If he keeps this up, he will never taste gold again, especially since Rampage of all people undoubtedly has his number.

Griffin's upset over Rua means that, of all the Pride fighters that have been herded over into the UFC fold, only Rampage has fared well.

Am I wrong? Did I miss someone?
