Thank you for answering the call Sifu Jason. Thank you for addressing something I saw, but as a layman didn't want to comment on. I thought the top picture was a smaller, fatter adult/teen and the second picture was someone different.

With my background as an MD/PHD, I am certainly more qualified to comment on this topic than you are. With your expertise as an x-ray technician you are unable to ascertain that there is now a uniform spacing between the femur and tibia while the before picture shows not only erosion of the articular cartilage, but virtually no mesici which to speak of. When cartilage is gone, it is gone. Leave the diagnosis to a radiologist or a qualified medical doctor thank you.

You are full of it. The menisci cannot be directly visualized by x-ray, nor can cartilage. You need MRI for that.

You can see degenerative decay of the bones on x-ray, usually a result of arthritis (grinding on the bones after the cartilage is damaged).

See my next post--I looked through his message more. He isn't an MD/PhD (besides maybe a first year)--you can't visualize changes in cartilage via x-ray. Go google it for 5 minutes and anyone can find the same information. X-rays for bone damage. MRI for cartilage and menisci.

I don't find that paragraph doubtful at all. What you have to remember is my favorite thing semantics. He is being disingenuous.

Study doesn't mean hold rank, Grandmaster, expert, proficient, capable, instructor, or any positive word. You made a leap in logic.
