Regular training and gradings with a lot of focus on kata and kihon. The club also has regular visits from Sensei Sakagami, founder of Aiwakai.

The club has a hour class which covers the basics, then a hours advanced class afterwards which covers kata application, dan grade katas, sparring and street defence techniques and tanto dori.

Belper Wado Aiwakai also participates in many of the regional and national championships, with all compotition entrys paid for from the clubs treasury.
