Anything with Donnie Yen is going to be pretty good. Are you looking for out of the way stuff? Look up Chin Siu Ho- he was the senior student in Fist of Legend, and he made some great B flicks. IF you want to see women kick ass, get Naked Killer or "Angel". If you want old school Shaw Hung gar, it's hard to go wrong with Shaolin Temple or Shaolin 5 masters. Go to Beijingvideo.com- that guy has a whole history of stuff, and his website is a labor of love. You can get some rare stuff their. If you want a good, little seen in the U.S. Chow Yung Fat movie on the level of Better Tomorrow, try and get a copy of "Tragic Hero". Anything by Johnny To, well almost anything, is good. Try and find a copy of "Gunman".-no kung fu, really, but tons of heroic bloodshed. Also, if you want old school, Seasonal Films asskickery, every collection should have Hot, Cool and Vicious- TKD , Hung Gar and Preying Mantis in a big kick ass mix. ****, I could go on all night, but I have to eat dinner and pretend to myself that i am not an utter geek.

I could never stand Steven Seagal movies. Too much arm flailing that could never pass for actual fighting. It was only later that I realized he does aikido. :P
Fist of Legend is my all-time favorite movie, and solid proof that Jet Li actually put out good movies once upon a time. Hero was great, too.
Zatoichi!
And any Jackie Chan movie, I think.
Equilibrium, too, if that counts. -

You could see all those on Cable, except Fihter in the Wind. Every few months comcast has Six String Samurai available ON DEMAND. I wouldn't buy those flicks, just because you can see them for free, or rent them at blockbuster. I only say that because the OP was going to throw down some hard earned cash- better to get something you'll have trouble finding, like a good copy of Eastern Condors (though they do show that on Encore, or did, a few years ago).
