    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Are the TapouT guys LARPers?

Yes, yes, they are legit...but are they borderline LARPERS? Face paint, wigs, silly nicknames, funny hats, etc. I realize that it is only marketing, but the other night at a party I had to explain to this girl that while, "yes" I am training in MMA, "no" I do not have any face paint. That conversation should have never had to occur. I think they are dorks who happen to have cool looking clothes. Clothes that rip and tear...unlike SPRAWL lightweight grappling shirts.

Furthermore, is "Mask" even a fighter? Or does he just sling 100% adreline filled clothing to "all" the "badasses"?

I'm not dogging Sprawl, I love Sprawl. If you read, I say the Sprawl stuff doesn't rip...the tapout shirts do. I think the tapout designs are cool. I think the tapout people (i.e. owners) are geeks. Furthermore, I think the way they dress is boarderling LARPing. Thier popularity effects the standards of MA...which is why I posted here. Thoughts?

I don't care if they do train. They're still posers, and still need a healthy dose of Napalm.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

They have supported MMA from the grass roots. Give sponsorships to fighters.

Their personnas are what sells their products, it keeps people talking to them.

I haven't bought a TapOut anything in years, just outgrew it. But if I ever see something of theirs I like, I'll buy it.

TapOut has always been good for the sport.

i think LARPers is the wrong term... they are ACTORS, playing a part for money.

blame the marketing genius who came up with that crap.

we have learned anyone with the last name "Scott" is automatically suspect on this site. But I agree, they definitely sap it up a little.
