Tony Anthony
An old Uni mate sent me this book (Taming The Tiger) in the post last month. He did this because he is a converted Christian who is now a preacher and I am a Martial Artist. I read the book and at first was very interested, but as soon as he started on about maiming several guys in a brothel to rescue his cousin I just didn't beleive it. His story of kicking his giant basketball player room mate in the chest is basically a reverse of Bruce Lee getting kicked in the chest by Kareem Abdul Jabbar in 'Tower of Death'. He probably didn't even realise he was drawing on this subliminally. I feel sorry for this guy, he has obviously had such little respect in his life that he has to make up things that frankly a little child would normally do. My preacher friend has actually fallen out with me over this so it just goes to show, most religion is not interested in facts or opposing points of view.

I'm calling you out
I have had two kids (well not me, the wife) in the last two years and moved area so have hardly trained at all for this time, but I would happily have a match up with Tony, full contact or semi. If I beleived his claims however, you would not be able to pay me to get in a ring or on a mat with him, that's how convinced I am he is full of bull hang.

@Jukado
Probably the answer you will get is that he quit martial arts and now HIS path is the only one to follow. This is of course his choice and it is respected, but I feel he is using the whole thing. It bothers me a lot and it's not only because I believe he uses my religion as his shield but I sense that he only wants to get more money out of naive people, something that can't be allowed.
Here is a nice interview to check out:

My two sents that he is pure bullshido.
Also, he claims he was in a jail in Cyprus. I dunno if I should believe this. Smells like bad fish. If you find anything in greek that needs to be translated feel free to pm me.Last edited by Chado; 3/04/2010 7:32am at .

I dont think this is going to work.
If he refuses to fight you (which he will based on everything he says) it would prove nothing other than that he is christian that doesnt fight.
This is not the US and this kind of thing will most likely get you into trouble or at least push TA away from entering into any dialogue with people politely asking questions about his claims.
If his claims are false it will not be his tiger stance or lack of it that proves it to be.King without a crown -

I do agree. I think my offer has been perceived as being aggressive when it isn't. I have no hatred for him or desire to (attempt) to hurt him. I just figure the majority of members here are martial artists, he won't respond to paper pushing..trial by combat (well put by the way) seems quite apt and just in this instance. I am not talking about a fight after school, I mean a regulated contest.
