The funny thing is, there are guys that are laughing at Fred Ettish, that would not, and/or, have not, faired much better, in the Octagon or the D45dly St4et.

Short of spontaneously exploding into flames, it would be hard to do worse than Fred Ettish.

What about Emanuel Yarborough, the guy that Keith Hackney beat down...Or that one guy who did ninjutsu and was a cop, I think his name was Cal Worsham. What about Guy Mezger I know he had a breif carrer in Pride, but where is he now.

I believe he thought he had a stroke so he retired and as for where is he now, he is running the Lion's Den Dallas as well as assistant coaching Ken Shamrock's IFL team, running Art of War as well as Mark Cuban's new MMA promotion HDNet Fights.

Manny Yarborough went to Japan to live at a sumo stable, balooned to over 800 pounds, retired and is now running an anti-obesity campaign in the US. There was an article on him recently somewhere.

Fred Etish was unfortunate to become a suckage icon, I agree with Omega, he lost but so had many other guys. He was one of those that actually picked up MMA program for their gyms.

Fred Ettish also posts on mma.tv, and distinguishes himself by being a tremendously nice and classy guy there (admittedly, it's hard not to look nice and classy on the Underground simply via comparison). He's stayed involved in the sport and I believe has been either a judge or ref or both for several shows in the midwest.

Apologies for hating on Fred Ettish, that is what you get when you judge someone based on highlight reels on youtube I guess. Is it still okay to make fun of Art Jimmerson?
