The Budokwai , London, UK (Judo , BJJ, Aikido, Karate)

I can only really talk about the Judo at this club which is its principle art.
This club needs little introduction , its the oldest club in Europe and probably the best in the UK. There are always many top level international players passing through its doors and the instruction is excellant.
Famous members include :

Trevor Leggett
Neil Adams
Brian Jacks
Angelo Parisi

Aliveness - Plenty of Randori for both beginners and advanced members. Good hard training sessions.

Equipment : Clean, Judo mats, showers, sauna

Gym Size : Sufficient for up to 40 people.

Instructor/student ratio : Apart from the main instructor there are so many top quality coaches and top level Judoka on the mat at any one time you will never be short of excellant instruction and personal attention.

Atmosphere / attitude : Very well diciplined , traditional atmosphere.

Striking instruction : None.

Grappling instruction : Excellant in Judo and BJJ

I worked right by that place, never trained there and regret it now. When I did MT a few guys also trained at Budokwai and rated it highly.

I'm currently training with Gaston Garcia at the Club Nautico in Rosario - its a great club. Ive also trained a bit at the Club Banco de la nacion and at another in the centre of Rosario.Ive also had a go at Jujitsu at the Gimnasio 360 - great technique.
Ahorita vivo en Rosario - pero al fin de Junio me voy a Peru..

I had a practise one Sunday morning at the Budokwai last month. Used to practise there many years ago in Leggett's black belt class. Great atmosphere and expertise. I was never an official member as I never paid dues, but did represent the club against France. There was no padding on the walls in the old days, or crash mats.

I have just joined this club. I have never trained there and I have regreted about it. This is really a wonderful place.Where did you train in Ukraine.
