Top left in this pic is Cecil Peoples the judge.

Is he the same person as this Cecil Peoples??

Because, if it is, this could be an interesting individual to look closer at:

The guy in the KOTC picture owns this dojo, but I dont know if he is the same person as the UFC judge:

The Peoples Kenpo Karate Association (PKKA) is dedicated to teaching the martial art techniques and high ethical standards of Sensei Cecil Peoples.

yes it is. he spent most of his career judging boxing and MA. then, being a judge for the NSAC he got into MMA and has done a terrible job of it since. Almost every terrible decision I've seen in the UFC has included Cecil Peoples as a judge.

    cecil peoples is delusional

u think UFC would have caught on by now, that almost every contraversial decision ever made, had his name involved in it

    Welllll Then....

Congratulations to new Grandmaster Cecil Peoples, Hawaiian Kenpo Karate, promoted to 10th degree by Sensei Bill Ryusaki on March 26, 2006, in a grand ceremony at Sensei Mark Parra's House of Champions in Van Nuys, California! I took over 80 photos, so stay tuned for the pictures.
If you think this is MABS worthy, I may begin a little bit of side research. ...

i don't think there's anything to investigate. His MA career is pretty well known and well documented. I believe he's actually a fairly respectable martial artist as far as ke?po goes. He's just not qualified to judge mma.

Is there anywhere that keeps a record of the way that judges score fights?

We could start an informal database somewhere and ask people to contribute documented Cecil Peoples voting record. Must include links etc....

Wonder if there is a website somewhere that would host such a look at the dirtier side of Martial Arts?

    For example:

    http://sports.yahoo.com/box/blog/box_experts

Judge Chris Watts gave all three rounds to Hamill, scoring it 30-27.
Judges Cecil Peoples and Jeff Mullen scored it 29-28 for Bisping.
